Aggie Sisters in Healthcare

Erica

Howdy,
My name is Erica Masi and I am so excited to be serving as the President of Aggie Sisters in Healthcare for the 2022-2023 school year! I joined this amazing organization as a freshman in the Fall of 2019, and I couldn’t feel more grateful for all of the opportunities ASH has provided me.
My hometown is Pflugerville, Texas and I am a proud member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2023! I am a Public Health major pursuing a career in medicine.
In the past three years that I have been in ASH, I have grown in so many ways. Reflecting back on the young freshman who was unsure of where she was headed in life, I can confidently say that I have gained so much experience through this organization. I have gained insight into my career goals and also gained some lifelong friends. In my year as president, I want to promote the sense of sisterhood I have always received and help our members feel confident in their future.
We all know about the late nights spent studying for organic chemistry or the numerous hour put into prepping for labs and all the volunteering experiences we strive to achieve in order to better prepare our applications and that common struggle is what has brought us together and unites us all as sisters.
ASH is a unique organization on-campus because we are filled with members entering the healthcare field as physicians, veterinarians, therapists, nurses, and so much more! We promote professionalism by hosting panel meetings and other application workshops as well as sisterhood. We have big/little mentorship programs and retreat which serve to bring us all closer together in the hopes of motivating each other towards our professional goals. This year, I am excited that ASH is implementing a philanthropy officer and committee to further serve our community.
The 2022-2023 Officer Team is hard at work planning fun events for all of our members! Some of our favorites include movie nights, formal, and service events! Through these events, we grow closer as a sisterhood and unite members through our shared love for healthcare.
